Here's a few photo's of recent work. I've been experimenting with different screening and wax resist techniques. I'm very excited about new possibilities and can't wait to start making more work. Although I'm also excited about going to the cottage this weekend first!!
You're not the first to mention the steam punk thing, but I'm not that familiar with what it is exactly. I should just look it up and find out what I'm ripping off! I'm currently firing with an electric kiln. But in the past I've had access to different atmospheric kilns, so some of the work on my blog reflects that. thanks for your comments!
You're not ripping anything off really. Steampunk is more of a genre of atmosphere that is characterized by the Victorian steam age. If you take a look at something like a train steam engine you can get a feel for what its all about, with the cogs, and gears, and wheels. I am not at all familiar with the culture but the look of it all is very unique and cool.

Beautiful work, these are absolutely gorgeous Jenanne!
Thanks Jane!!
I like your work, and I hope you don't mind me saying but it has a slight steam-punk feel to it with the gears and cork screw spirals.
What method do you fire with?
